Slavic Grimdark

Darkness hung over the Slavic lands. The darkspawn are rampant. But evil will be punished.

I drew these illustrations to find the concept of a universe where the ideas of the characters of Slavic fairy tales and the atmosphere of grimdark can be combined. I was partly inspired by the Warhammer 40K universe.
Dirty, gloomy or low-saturation colors are chosen to better convey the atmosphere of grimdark.
